Dear Friends & Family,

I write to you today to share what God is doing in my life. In January 2019, I will be going on a short-term mission trip with Adventure Soccer to eSwantini (Swaziland), Africa, to serve and to share Christ’s love.

Adventure Soccer is a faith-based, non-profit that uses sports as a means to connect with and minister to a hurting world. Their bible-based curriculum for soccer camps and outreach events has been developed to spur on relevant topics that face our youth today.

I’ll be going with a team from Snohomish Community Church. The focus of our ministry will be to support the work of Adventure Soccer ministry, an amazing work involved in Christian outreach, serving orphans and vulnerable children due to the massive AIDS crisis in Africa. Many are living alone in their homesteads with no adult figure in their lives. Our efforts will include connecting with these children through sports to initiate relationships and begin the process of addressing their deeper physical, mental and spiritual needs. We will work in feeding programs, clean water projects, sports ministry efforts and orphan education support work towards meeting these goals.

How Can You Help?

  1. Prayer Supporters:
    • Pray for our team, pray for eSwantini, pray for the orphaned children!
  2. Financial Supporters:
    • The total need that I’m required to raise is $2,800; which includes everything from airfare, ground transportation, food, room & board, plus other expenses. However, I would love to raise more as the extra funds would go to other team members and a water project that they are currently working on so that they do not have to choose between drinking water vs. watering their crops.
    • If you would like to help financially, please contribute here:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:19-20
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” – Acts 1:8

Thank you for your continued support and prayers!

“The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His face upon you, And give you peace.”

Your Sister in Christ,

Danielle Ernest

About P.S. I ♥ Peas

Ever since I was a child, I remember falling in love with flowers. My first flower memory was being intrigued by the blooms of Bleeding Heart (Dicentra). Love of nature and art led me into pursuing a degree in horticulture & landscape design. For 15+ years, I worked for different wholesale companies including Proven Winners, Spring Meadow Nursery (Proven Winners ColorChoice Flowering Shrubs) and Zelenka Nursery. Then in 2013, I started my own business Flora & Fauna Media, which specializes in public relations outreach from social media to media publications. Now, I am focusing on being a Stay-At-Home mom and my writing career. I garden on less than an acre of property near Seattle, Washington. Making the most of my space was extremely important to efficiency, which led to removing lots of grass. Now, our property is a sanctuary filled with fruits (blueberries, apples, strawberries, raspberries, cantaloupe, fig and huckleberries), vegetables (kale, beets, peas, tomatoes, squash, potatoes, cardoon, zucchini, green beans, peppers, tomatillos and sorrel) and herbs (rosemary, chives, thyme, mint, oregano, lemon verbena, pineapple sage and sage). Growing our own food is an important mission to me and with a young child teaching is valuable knowledge to pass down generation after generation . If you teach a man to garden, he will eat for life! My husband and I love to cook together. We find new recipes and try them weekly. Wildcrafting has become a fun additional to this pastime. Harvesting stinging nettles or dandelions and making them into something that is edible and delicious is so rewarding.
